Director’s Olympic Adventure Began With A Bang…

This dark and stormy tale takes place a few years ago when Lynne lived in Vancouver. Driving home in the dead of a rainy night after toiling on a film set, Lynne had stopped at a light on Boundary Road, poised, waiting to make a left-hand turn. Windshield wipers flapping furiously, she swears it was clear but as she carefully turned her slow 72 Dodge Dart Swinger… blinding headlights of an oncoming car!!! A shadow cop car swerved skillfully, avoiding her vehicle completely and it hopped over a medium only to strike another car’s back bumper.

No one was hurt.

But while every police officer in the city drove by to check on their buddy , Lynne stayed in the mist, chatting to the nice gentleman whose bumper was accidentally smashed. He was a part of a committee to head the Olympic bid for Vancouver.

Lynne was glad she did not accidentally kill or maim this man because maybe then Vancouver wouldn’t have the 2010 Olympics and then her team wouldn’t have had so much fun making the film “Spring.”

Lynne now resides in Toronto and happily uses public transit.

Active Sports: Snowboarding, Amateur Boxer, rock climbing

How Spring was Sprung: After scrambling two hours before the online submission deadline to write a script and a dozen other whatnots needed for the proposal…

Lynne was floored when Spring was accepted by the 2010 Cultural Olympiad Digital Edition as one of their sixteen films commissioned and the only comedy selected. How many filmmakers will ever be given this opportunity in their lifetime?

In making Spring she had three simple goals: to keep the movie accessible for an international venue (thus no dialogue), for people to feel shear joy after watching Spring, and simply to have a hoot making it. Spring is three for three.

Biography:
Lynne obviously hates summer. With both her entire I Love A Luger webseries and the epic comedy short Spring playing on Code screens, she is carving a niche in winter sports comedy. Lynne plays well with others and actively pens for all genres of film and television. There is no rhyme or reason to what Lynne does… all something has to do is pique her curiosity and she is there. Obsessed with the webby world (she even built and populated this site), her partnered company inSeries Media are launching an online network of fresh comedy web series. An amateur athlete herself, Lynne knows that as in sports, a film director is only as strong as their team – the talented, hilarious cast and crew of Spring are truly all champions!

As a Habs fan, she must mention that she is a born and raised Montrealer.

Spring Note: Kids, crazy people and small animals follow Lynne like she’s the Pied Piper. Her brain thinks naturally in cartoon. Lynne likes to collect talented, jovial crew and work with them over and over again…. right down to the PA’s…for how you makes things and with whom you make them is just as important as what you make.  After ringing the rocking producers, Brian (animator), Ryan and Carlie were tied for second shout-out to plead them to come on-board.
