On September 21, 2009, when director Lynne asked me to produce Spring. How could I refuse? A great project, a talented writer/director and a fantastic opportunity. The whole production and post-production was a blur. Thanks to the dedication and the immense talent of our cast and crew, Spring came early. My best memories of the project? In no particular order – Exchanging emails at 6 in the morning with Lynne and Anneli; paying for a location with a good bottle of French win; not to forget the extraordinary help of our production manager Tim Friese and his wife’s fantastic chili, as well as James O’Bryan’s unwavering dedication and attention to details. Hope you like the film as much as we enjoyed making it!

She went on to manage the production and post-production on the documentary Lord of the Brush. In 2005, Stéphanie graduated from the CFC’s Producer lab, which led her on to produce Spoonfed and Face Machine, two of the 2006 Canadian Film Centre NBC Universal short dramatic films. Stéphanie is currently developing the science-fiction thriller Level 16 (NSI Feature First Program, The Harold Greenberg Fund, Telefilm, NBC Universal Development Incubator 2008). Her films have all screened worldwide in festivals and on television. Her company Sabeth Productions is currently developing 2 feature films and exploring new media and television opportunities. Most recently Anneli produced the web series SETH ON SURVIVAL in partnership with CFC’s TV Pilot Programme.
Spring Note: despite being on a million and one projects, Anneli jumped onto the Spring team when Code gave the greenlight. Her connections made the production process sooo much easier… she found some of the springiest crew ever and a mysterious red camera that fell off a truck at an unheard of price.
